If you're looking for a place for the kids to spend their summer days, BiblioTech on the South and West sides has your family covered.
The electronic library and community center is offering "Reading & Raspas," a smorgasbord of special events for kids and families.
For starters, BiblioTech is giving away free raspas 1-2 p.m. daily while supplies last.
Activities include Bug Camp and Youth Gardens presented by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, Map Making presented by Artpace San Antonio, and Science Mill Camp: Titans of Tech.
BiblioTech South is located at 3505 Pleasanton Road, (210) 631-0180, and BiblioTech West is located at 2003 S. Zarzamora St., (210) 631-0190.

Also, it's almost time for Back to School events to begin statewide. Key dates include a July 28 at Eagle Pass. Follow my Facebook and Twitter pages (@carlosuresti) for update throughout the month.
Missions need your vote
The Spanish colonial missions, recently named a World Heritage site, and the pride of the South Side, need your help.
The San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, as they are collectively known, is one of 20 national parks to be selected for the VoteYourPark campaign sponsored by Partners in Preservation.
All 20 parks are currently competing for $2 million in preservation grants. But here's the thing: winners will be decided by popular vote.
